RULES
Auto Cross Technical Specifications
We follow most of the AMA Rules but we have a few of our own rules and classes and reserve the right to change and/or add rules without notification.
1. Driver must wear helmet and eye protection at all times during the race.
2. Driver must wear seat belt at all times during the race.
3. Only the driver and one mechanic, 18 or over, will be allowed in the pit area, per car.
4. Each driver must use the same car throughout the entire event, including heat races.
5. Drivers must stay in their car during the race, unless instructed to do otherwise by track personnel.
6. Driver’s meeting is mandatory.
7. Alcohol is not allowed in the pits.
8. Fighting or vulgar language will not be tolerated, and will be subject to disqualification.
9. This is a race-not a demolition derby. It is understood that some contact will be made between vehicles, but intentional ramming of the driver’s door will not be allowed.
10. Driving in the pits is only allowed when going to and from the track for a race. This must be done VERY SLOWLY!!
11. All cars and parts must be removed from the fair grounds by midnight, the night of the race.
12. JLO Auto Cross and the fair are not responsible for cars, parts, or personal property before, during, or after the event.
13. JLO Auto Cross reserves the right to eliminate drivers or mechanics for infractions of rules.
14. Flags during the race:
yellow-caution, slow down-a car is stopped in the track
black-disqualified-stop your car, but stay in it until the race is finished, or otherwise instructed
white-one lap to go
checkered-finished, go off the track as directedCash and trophies awarded for the first 3 places in each class.
